PROVO--Utah senior Jeff Simonich continues to dominate his field as he won the BYU Autumn Classic on Saturday. Simonich won the 8k race with a time of 24:29.2. after coming off an impressive eighth place finish at the Bob Timmons pre-NCAA race in Kansas last week. The men's team placed fifth overall. Junior Johanna Nielsen was the top women's finisher for the Utes placing 12th overall in the 5k race with a time of 18:01.7. The women placed eighth as a team. The race featured 12 teams including the defending national champion women's team from BYU. The Utes will have a couple of weeks off before they travel to Houston, Texas, to compete in the WAC Championships on Oct. 31.
