Ute Splashes
The University of Utah swimming and diving teams travel to Minneapolis, Minn., to compete in the Minnesota Invitational, Thurs.-Sat., Nov. 13-21. Other teams participating include: Iowa, Iowa State, Northern Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Purdue.

Utes to Watch
Heidi Duckworth won the 50 and 100 freestyle events in a double dual meet versus Oregon State and UNLV. The junior is a transfer student from Hawai'i where she finished third in the 100 fly, eighth in the 100 back and ninth in the 100 free at the 1997 WAC Championships. She was an NCAA qualifier in all three events. Divers Erica Fleming and Crystal Gregory turned in first and second place finishes in the 1 and 3-meter diving events. Fleming won the 1-meter and was second in the 3-meter while Gregory won the 3-meter and was second in the 1-meter. For the men, who lost to UNLV last week, sophomore Johan Nystrom won the 100 and 200 freestyle events. Troy Johnson won the 50 free and was second in the 100, Mike Greene was runner-up in the 200 back and third in the 200 IM and Matt Chamberlain finished third in the 200 fly.
Last Week
The Utah women's team raised its season total to 1-2 after a 1-1 double dual meet versus UNLV and Oregon State. The Utes defeated Oregon State 122-107, but lost to UNLV 102-133. The Utah men's team are now 0-2 following losses to UNLV (102.5-134.5) and Brigham Young (79-158).
