Christenson Named MWC Cross Country Athlete of the Week

SALT LAKE CITY-The Mountain West Conference honored Utah junior B.J. Christenson for his weekend effort by naming him cross country athlete of the week. At the Long Beach State Invitational on October 7, Christenson was the first Ute to finish in the 8K race with a time of 25:09. His second place finish overall led the men's team to a first place victory. The Burley, Idaho native's time is a personal best and currently ranks in the top 15 for the MWC best times for an 8K race.
Up next for Christenson and the men's team is the Pre-NCAA Invitational in Ames, Iowa on October 14. Competing with the Utes will be many of the nation's top ranked teams. That same day the women's team will be at the UNLV Invitational in Las Vegas, Nev.
