SALT LAKE CITY -
The University of Utah men's golf team travels to Cal State Northridge to play in the Countrywide Home Loans Intercollegiate this Monday and Tuesday Oct. 16-17. The Utes are coming off their best performance of the year, finishing eighth last week at the Wolfpack Classic.
Last year the Utes shot a three-round score of 917, placing them 12th overall. Brock Padilla was the led the Utes with a 27th-place finish.
The tournament will be played at the Wood Ranch Golf Club in Simi Valley, Calif. The teams competing include: No. 18 Arizona State, Austin Peay, Boise State, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Eastern Washington, Gonzaga, Idaho, Loyola Marymount, Portland State, Sacramento State, No. 44 San Diego, Santa Clara, Southern Utah, Stanislaus, UC Irvine, Utah State and Weber State. The Utes are a combined 11-4 against the 10 teams in the field they have played this season.
