SALT LAKE CITY -
The University of Utah men's golf team will travel to San Diego to participate in the Aztec Invitational. It will be the teams first action since placing 11th at the Countrywide Home Loans Invitational.
The Utes will be taking Shawn Edwards, Ryan Ellis, Brock Padilla, Jason Shepherd and Paul Winterowd. All five have competed for the Utes this season. Padilla leads the Utes in average round (76.0) and average finish (23.0). These five have an average round of 77.0 this season.
The other teams playing in the tournament include: Dartmouth, Denver, Eastern Washington, Louisville, Portland State, San Diego State, San Marcos State, Santa Clara, Texas-San Antonio, Utah State and Wichita State. This season the Utes have competed against six teams in the field and have gone 6-4 in those meetings.
