SALT LAKE CITY - Beth Jerome, who was an assistant coach at Wisconsin-Whitewater last season, has been named assistant women's swimming coach at the University of Utah. The announcement was made today by head coach Michael Litzinger, completing the hiring of his new staff.
At Wisconsin-Whitewater in 1999-2000, Jerome worked with a five-time Division III All-American. She was also an assistant coach with J-Hawk Aquatics last year, helping develop a U.S. Olympic Trials qualifier.
The Janesville, Wis., native swam collegiately at the University of Missouri, where she made the all-Big Eight Conference academic team in 1996. Jerome also made the Dean's List at Missouri and graduated in 1998 with bachelor's of science degree in nutrition and fitness.
"We are excited to have Beth join our staff at the U.," says Litzinger. "Her background as a former athlete in the Big Eight Conference, the success she has shown on the pool deck as a coach, and her excellence in her field of study make her a welcome addition to our program."
