SALT LAKE CITY-For the second time University of Utah junior Teren Jameson was named Mountain West Conference cross country athlete of the week. Jameson earned a first-place victory in the 8K race (25:21.4) at the Colorado State Ram Invitational on Sept. 9. The CSU meet featured runners from MWC schools Air Force, CSU, New Mexico and Wyoming. To date Jameson's time is the fastest recorded in the league. Jameson received this honor last week for his first place finish (19:19.2) at the Idaho State Invitational on Sept. 2.
After having the weekend off Jameson and the Utes head to the Roy Griak Invitational in Minneapolis, Minn. on Sept. 23. "This meet will feature the top cross country teams from throughout the nation. I think Teren and our teams will do well against the competitive field," said Coach Mike Jones.
