The Cougars saw three players score in double-figures. Erin Thorn scored 12 points, shooting 5-of-10 from the field and 2-of-3 from the 3-point line. BYU shot 40 percent from the field (22-of-55), 50 percent from behind the arc (6-of-12) and 64 percent from the free-throw line (7-of-11).
"Lindsay (Herbert) comes out and gives us a great start, she came out firing and that was great," said Head Coach Elaine Elliott. "Lauren (Beckman) has another great night for us overall, she did a good job on the boards and scored for us in the paint. Amy Ewert, as usual, was huge for us defensively on Thorn (Erin). Lori Red-Castagnetto had a nice second half and hit some good shots, Katherine McColl comes off the bench and she gives us an emotional lift and I think our three point guards did a nice job." said Elliott.
