The University of Utah men's cross country team is ranked No. 25 in the Oct. 30th National Coaches Poll. The men's team placed third in the MWC championships on Oct. 27. Utah's Teren Jameson placed first in the competition and made the MWC 2001 All-Conference First team. Jameson also was named the 2001 MWC Runner of the Year. Utah's new head coach Brian Appell earned the 2001 MWC Coach of the Year honors.
