PROVO, UTAH - The University of Utah golf team placed 10th at the Ben Hogan Cougar Classic held at the Riverside Country Club in Provo.
On a rain soaked weekend, consistency was Utah's strength. Shawn Edwards, Ryan Ellis, and Paul Winterowd tied for 36th individually with a 54-hole total of 222. Luke Swilor came in just one stroke back of the trio at 223. Brock Padilla shot a 231, and Jason Shepherd hit his way to a 238.
Winterowd and Shepherd fired the lowest 18-hole rounds for the Utes, shooting 70s in the final round. Swilor posted a 71 in the final round, while Ellis did likewise in the second round.
