SALT LAKE CITY - University of Utah swimmer Kristen Kaiser has been honored by CollegeSwimming.com as the Division I women's national swimmer of the week for Nov. 26 through Dec. 1.
Kaiser, a junior from St. Louis, Mo., had the fastest times that week in the 400-yard Individual Medley (4:30.23) and the 500-yard freestyle (5:02.91) against Florida State on Nov. 23.
"This is an award that both our women's program and the University are extremely proud of," said Ute Head Coach Michael Litzinger. "Kristen is a unique individual. She has that passion for the sport which is woven into her work ethic and competitive spirit. Most of all, she is fully committed to our goal of turning the swimming program at Utah into a winner. It is well deserved, and well earned."
