ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- The University of Utah men's golf team finished 15th at the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate. The Utes moved up to 15th on the final day with a final round 12-over-par (300). Overall the Utes finished with a 43-over (907).
New Mexico won the tournament for the second consecutive year finishing with an even par (864). Finishing second was UNLV at 5-over-par (869), followed by Arizona at ten-over (874).
Utah was led by Steve Newren who shot 8-over-par (224) and finished tied for 42nd. Two Utes tied for 63rd Casey Fowles and Garrett Clegg each finished with a 13-over (229). Nick Summers put up a 15-over (231) good for a tie in 70th, and Luke Swilor rounded out the team with a 17-over (233).
