SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Nick Jacobson scored 22 points and Andrew Bogut had 17 points and pulled down 10 rebounds in Utah's 73-57 victory over Cal State Northridge on Friday night.
Richard Chaney added 18 points for the Utes (7-3), who pulled away in the second half by going 14-for-22 (64 percent) from the floor and improved to 6-0 at home.
The Matadors (2-4) did not have a field goal in the final four and a half minutes and lost to Utah for the sixth time in six games.
Davin White and Thomas Shewmake scored 12 points apiece for Cal State Northridge. Chris Davis added 10 points for the Matadors.
White hit two free throws to cut Utah's lead to 55-53 with 6:12 remaining, but the Utes responded with a 12-2 run over the next four minutes. Bogut, who finished with his fifth double-double this season, had three points and three rebounds during the run as the Utes pulled away.
Bogut was 5-for-6 from the field and 7-for-9 from the free-throw line.
After White's layup with 4:29 remaining cut Utah's lead to 59-55, the Matadors' only points the rest of the way were two free throws by Joseph Frazier with 1:43 to play and Utah already comfortably ahead.
Utah was coming off 65-51 loss at LSU on Tuesday.
