RENO, Nev. - Select athletes from the Utah indoor track and field teams finished competition for the Bill Cosby Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 15. Hosted by the University of Nevada, the meet featured athletes from 15 different schools.
Leading the way for Utah were Kristy Slade, Brooke LoBue and Katie Decker. Decker notched a first place finish in the high jump with a height of 1.72 meters. Slade placed second in the long jump with a distance of 5.71 meters and LoBue placed second in the pole vault with a height of 3.90 meters.
Also competing for Utah were Nikki Mancinelli, Autumn Smith, Trisha Wagner and Katy Barton. Mancinelli placed 10th in the high jump, Wagner finished eight in the pole vault followed by Smith at 10th and Barton finished 13th in the long jump.
"We brought a small group of athletes to work on consistency," states Head Coach Lisa Archer. "We were really happy with the marks our athletes posted their placement was strong."
