Tampa, Fla. - The University of Utah men's and women's swimming teams finished first in the afternoon session of the University of Tampa Relays. The men finished with a score of 132, with host school Tampa finishing second with 102 points and Truman State rounded out the field in third place with 86 points.
The women's team finished with 102 points, while Truman State finished in second with 98 points. Miami of Ohio finished third with 88 points and Tampa placed fourth with 78 points.
Utah returns to action Jan. 13 when the women's team travels to Fort Collins, Colo., to take on Colorado State. The men's team takes a small break before competing against Wyoming Jan. 28, in Salt Lake City.
