Red Rocks Preview

The third-annual Utah gymnastics Red Rocks Preview will be held Friday starting at 7 p.m. in the Huntsman Center. Admission and parking are free. The team will be introduced and perform exhibition routines on all four events. Everyone in attendance will receiver a 2006 team poster and will also have the opportunity for autographs and photos with the gymnasts.
Friday's Red Rocks Preview is the first opportunity for fans to meet the three new Utah freshmen. Ten letterwinners return from last year's Utah team that placed third at the NCAA Championships, including All-Americans Ashley Postell, Kristen Riffanacht, Nicolle Ford, Rachel Tidd and Gritt Hofmann.

This year's home schedule features three teams that qualified for the 2005 NCAA Championships, including reigning champion Georgia on Mar. 6. Other NCAA qualifiers visiting the Huntsman Center this year are Nebraska (Jan. 20) and Brigham Young (Mar. 24), as well as frequent NCAA participant Oregon State (Mar. 10). Utah State and Southern Utah will come to town on Jan. 27 and regional power Minnesota (Feb. 17) rounds out the home slate.
In advance of the Red Rocks Preview, members of the team will speak at the Crimson Club luncheon on Tuesday, Nov. 29 at noon. The luncheon will take place at the SkyBox restaurant in the Gateway Mall. The cost is $15 per person. Please RSVP to the Crimson Club office at 585-UTES. The team will also be introduced at the halftime of the men's basketball game against Utah State on Wednesday, Nov. 30.
