Postell Scratches From Vault And Beam Lineups

AUBURN, Ala. -
Ute freshman Ashley Postell, who won the opening session of NCAA competition in the all-around and qualified for individual event finals on three events, has scratched from the beam and vault lineup. Postell badly bruised her heel in pre-meet warmups for the Super Six on Friday but managed to compete on all four events. Despite extensive treatment, the injury worsened, and she could not complete a vault or beam routine. She hopes to be able to compete on the uneven bars. Her final decision will likely be made during bar warmups, which falls in the second half of tonight's meet.
