Riffanacht, Ford Elected As Utah Gymnastics Team Captains

All-Americans Kristen Riffanacht and Nicolle Ford have been named the 2005-06 gymnastics team co-captains by vote of their teammates. Riffanacht, a senior, is in her second year as the team co-captain, while Ford, a junior, is in her first term.
Riffanacht is a two-time second-team All-American. Ford has collected four All-America awards in her first two years, including two first-team honors.
The duo will captain a team of 13 gymnasts, including fellow returning All-Americans Ashley Postell, Rachel Tidd and Gritt Hofmann. Utah will unveil its 2006 team at the annual Red Rocks Preview on Dec. 2 at 7 p.m. in the Huntsman Center. The season with a road meet against UCLA on Jan. 7 and the first home meet is on Jan. 20 against Nebraska. Season tickets are on sale at the Utah ticket office or online at UtahTickets.com.
