THIS WEEK
The University of Utah women's tennis team will take on UNLV on Friday at 2:00 p.m. and San Diego State on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. Both matches will be hosted by San Diego State.
OPPOSITION
The UNLV Rebels are currently ranked No. 60 by the ITA, who released the latest rankings on April 10, 2007. The Rebels are 15-5 in dual matches and are 4-1 in conference play. Elena Gantcheva will lead the squad this weekend. The Rebel is currently ranked No. 57 in the country with a 16-6 overall record. Gantcheva teams up with Kristina Nedeltheva at the No. 1 doubles spot as well; the duo is ranked No. 16 in the nation. The Rebels were last seen against TCU (35) where they fell 2-5.
San Diego State is currently ranked No. 56 by the ITA. The Aztecs currently hold an 11-9 season record and are 4-1 in conference play. Last week, the Aztecs slammed a 5-2 win over No. 36 Oregon.
UTE NOTES
The University of Utah women's tennis team currently holds a 13-8 season record and are 3-3 in conference play. Junior Elizabeth Ferris will be leading the Utes this weekend at the No. 1 slot. Ferris is currently 18-0 in dual match play. Last week, the Utes fell to No. 35 TCU (2-5) and No. 73 UNM (2-5).
