SALT LAKE CITY -
The NCAA office has announced the pairings for the 2008 NCAA regional gymnastics championships and No. 2 ranked Utah is headed to Minneapolis. Utah is paired with No. 11 Arkansas, No. 14 Arizona, No. 23 Iowa, Southern Utah and host Minnesota in the North Central Regional. The regional championship is scheduled for Saturday, April 12, starting at 6 p.m. Central Time.
In a blind draw conducted by the NCAA office, Utah drew the following rotation for regionals: bye before bars, bars, beam, bye before floor and vault. Rotating with Utah will be Utah State all-around qualifier Nicki Felley.
A total of 36 teams qualified into the six regional sites that follow: Corvallis, Ore. (West), Minneapolis (North Central), Norman, Okla. (South Central), Baton Rouge, La. (Central), University Park, Pa. (Northeast) and Gainesville, Fla. (Southeast).
