Scottsdale, Ariz. - The University of Utah men's golf team completed the first two rounds of the seventh annual University of Wyoming Cowboy Classic in 18th-place with a score of 590 (306, 284), at 30-over-par.
Senior Chance Cota and Derek Adams lead Utah tied for 41st-place. Both are at five-over-par, Cota with a score of 145 (74, 71) and Adams shot a score of 145 (73, 72).
Tied for 59th-place, Chase Hite shot a first round of 78 and had the lowest second round for the team of 69 for a two round total of 147, at seven-over-par.
At 13-over-par, Jeff Kitches is tied in 98th-place with a score of 153 (82, 71). Mike Branca closes out the Utah lineup with a score of 160 (83, 77), at 20-over-par, in 113th-place.
UC Davis leads the Classic in first place with a score of 558, at two-under-par. Morten Madsen of Oregon State leads the individual standings with a score of 133 (66, 67), at seven-under-par.
The Cowboy Classic will wrap up with the final 18 holes tomorrow beginning at 7:45 a.m. shotgun start.
