Albuquerque, N.M. - The University of Utah men's golf team placed 15th at the 55th William H. Tucker Intercollegiate hosted by the University of New Mexico. The Utes wrapped up the final holes of the second round and the final round with total score of 911 (305, 293, 313).
The leaders for Utah were juniors Chase Hite with a three round total of 226 (73, 73, 80), and Mike Branca with marks of (75, 72, 79) for a total of 226, both placed in 56th place at 10-over-par.
Derek Adams completed the tournament one stroke behind Hite and Branca with a combined score of 227 (81, 72, 74), 11-over-par.
Jeff Kitches ended the day with a second round of 77 and third round of 82 adding to his first round score from Friday for a total mark of 235 at 19-over-par. Sophomore Joe Webber rounds out the Ute lineup with a score of 238 (82, 76, 80), at 22-over-par.
UNLV tops the team leader board with a team score of 843 (282, 273, 288), at 21-under-par. The number one individual players are also from UNLV, Colby Smith and Derek Ernst tied at eight-under-par with a total score of 208.
