Utah Golf Prepares For Purple And Red Invitational

SALT LAKE CITY- The University of Utah men's golf team will compete in the Utah/Weber State Purple and Red Invitational Sept. 28-29 at the 6,652 yard, par 72 Valley View Golf Course in Layton, Utah.
Last Time: The last time the Utes competed in the Purple and Red Invitational was Sept. 2007. Utah finished second in the team standings, three-under-par. The year before, current players Derek Adams and Jeff Kitches both played as individuals shooting final marks of 237, 21-over-par. Mike Branca competed in 2005 for a three round total of 229, 13-over-par.
Last Week: The Utes took second-place at the USAFA Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational in Colorado Springs, Colo. Junior Branca tied for third-place with a score of 211 (65, 72, 74), five-under-par.
