Ute nation!!!
So our season has shifted from preseason to conference play; I can't believe how fast things are progressing. It seems like just yesterday we had to pass the sprint test at 6:30am conditioning. We traveled for what seemed like an eternity last week, facing San Diego State and Air Force. Our San Diego game was a great experience, and although we didn't come out on top, I'm so proud of our team and coaching staff. We had an energy that I hadn't seen in a conference game thus far, and it was great to see the confidence and enthusiasm within our team. Later on in the week, we traveled to Colorado to face off against Air Force. Once again it was great to see the energy and passion within us players to go out and redeem ourselves from the loss earlier in the week. All-in-all, it was a great week of practices and competing, and our team is definitely improving in every aspect of the game.
This is a very exciting week for us. We have two tough opponents, and we're doing everything we can to make sure we get the `W'. First we have Wyoming, a solid team with great outside shooters at all positions. It will be a different look for us because everyone on their team can shoot including the posts. It will be a good battle on both ends of the court for both our teams. To end the week, we have BYU. There's always been a rivalry between the U and BYU; needless to say, this will be one heck of a game that all U fans should take time to be a part of. I'm very excited for this week and can't wait to see what's in store for our young but talented team.
Can't wait to see you all Wednesday and Saturday for our match-ups between Wyoming and BYU.
