SALT LAKE CITY
The season doesn't start until Jan. 7 for the 2011 Utah gymnasts, but they have already set a high standard in the classroom. All 13 members of the team made the Athletic Director's honor roll fall semester with a 3.0-or-better GPA, while 11 made the Dean's List, which requires a 3.5 GPA.
The team GPA was a 3.693. Leading the way was junior Cortni Beers (3.931). Five others received a 3.8 or better: freshman Nansy Damianova (3.88), freshman Hailee Hansen (3.862), junior Stephanie McAllister (3.85), sophomore Fumina Kobayashi (3.825) and freshman Lia Del Priore (3.8).
