SALT LAKE CITY - University of Utah interim head women's basketball coach Anthony Levrets has announced the addition of Stanford transfer Michelle Harrison to the program. Harrison was a standout high school player in Utah with Mountain View.
"We are excited to add Michelle to our team," Levrets said. "She is an exceptional student-athlete and will make an immediate impact on our young team both on and off the floor. Michelle was one of the most heralded high school girls basketball players to ever come out of our state and we are thrilled she has decided to finish her career here at Utah. Her size, shooting ability and versatility will help us as we navigate through a very tough Mountain West Conference."
In high school, Harrison was a 2006 McDonald's All-American, a two-time state MVP and a four-time first-team all-state selection.
Harrison was a key player off the bench at Stanford over three seasons. For her career she averaged 2.7 points and 1.6 rebounds per game, shooting .398 from the floor. Harrison graduated from Stanford with an art major in 2010 and received an NCAA waiver to be able to play this coming season.
