Utah Golf Ties For 10th At Barona Cup

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The University of Utah men's golf team tied for 10th after the first day of the San Diego State Barona Collegiate Cup at the Barona Creek Golf Club. The Utes posted first and second round scores of 368 and 383, respectively, while senior Mike Branca swung a 148 (72-76) to tie for 31st.
Freshman Ben Bankhead was second to finish on Utah's roster, posting a mark of 149 (72-77) and tying for 38th place. Senior Chase Hite tied for 45th with a score of 150 (75-75) while fellow senior Jeff Kitches scored a 151 (71-80). Senior Derek Adams posted a mark of 154 (78-76) to tie for 70th and Daniel Engle tied for 86th with a score of 158 (79-79).
The Utes will finish the final round of the Barona Cup tomorrow with a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start at the Barona Creek Golf Club.
