Former Utah gymnasts Daria Bijak, Jamie Deetscreek, Annie DiLuzio and Stephanie Neff participated in Utah's Spring Commencement held at the Jon M Huntsman Center on May 6th. Daria received a Bachelor of Arts in Film, with a Business Minor. Jamie received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. Annie received a Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Science and Health, with a Health Minor. She will begin a master's degree program in Sports Psychology here at the "U" this fall. Stephanie received a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training and will begin a master's degree program this fall at Arizona State.
This year's team finished the spring semester with a combined 3.744 GPA.
Cortni Beers earned a perfect 4.0 grade point average and Stephanie McAllister, Mary Beth Lofgren, Hailee Hansen and Corrie Lothrop were all above a 3.90, to highlight a great spring semester in the classroom for the Ute gymnasts. The quartet led 12 Utes on the Dean's List, which requires a 3.5 GPA with a minimum of 12 graded units.
Also making the Dean's List were Nansy Damianova, Lia Del Priore, Alyssa Gale, Jacquelyn Johnson, Fumina Kobayashi, Kyndal Robarts and Victoria Shanley. All 12 made the Athletics Director's Honor Roll (3.0 and higher).
