The University of Utah volleyball team continues its four-match Pac-12 Conference homestand tonight against No. 2 UCLA.
The Utes are 6-8 overall and 1-4 in Pac-12 play this season. Utah swept Colorado in Boulder on Sept. 13, but has since suffered four consecutive conference losses during the first two full weekends of Pac-12 play.

Leaders of the Block: Utah leads the Pac-12 and is second in the nation with an average of 3.07 blocks per set. The Utes have outblocked their opponents in 11 of their first 14 outings.
The Utes have limited their opponents to a 1.79 average in team blocks. Utah also maintains a .205 to .170 edge in hitting percentage through 14 matches in 2011.
Fast Start is the Best Start: The Utes are 5-1 this year when winning the first set of a match.
Redd Runs Rampant: Sophomore middle blocker Erin Redd (Spanish Fork, Utah) is second in the Pac-12 and ninth in the country with 1.49 blocks per set. She has led or tied for the team lead in blocks nine times. Redd currently has reached double-figures in kills in Utah's last three matches. This season, Redd is second on the team with a .326 hitting percentage and ranks third on the squad with 2.87 kills per set. Redd has led Utah in kills four times.
A Glance at No. 2 UCLA: UCLA is 11-2 overall and 4-1 in Pac-12 play after defeating then-No. 2 Stanford and then-No. 1 California at home last weekend. Sophomore Kelly Reeves was named the AVCA's National Player of the Week after leading the then-seventh-ranked Bruins with 14 kills and 14 digs against then-top-ranked California. The Bruins defeated then-No. 2 Stanford in five sets last Friday as junior Rachael Kidder had a career-high 30 kills to go with eight digs.
