TUCSON, Ariz. - The University of Utah men's golf team completed two rounds of the Arizona Intercollegiate Monday at the Arizona National Golf Club. The team posted a first round score of 299, followed by a second round mark of 298, to place 10th. Sophomore Daniel Engle led the Utes in individual standings, tying for 16th with a two-round score of 143 (70-73).
Freshman Gentry Hicks was next on the Ute roster, swinging a 147 (74-73) to tie for 25th. Freshman Myles Sullivan and junior Joe Webber, who played as an individual, tied for 53rd, with marks of 153 (77-76, 74-79), respectively. Freshman Jack Maerki posted a score of 154 (78-76) to tie for 58th, while freshman Brandon Kida rounded out the squad, placing 76th with a mark of 166 (89-77).
The Utes will tee off for the final 18 holes of the Arizona Intercollegiate Tuesday morning with an 8 a.m. shotgun-start.
