The University of Utah softball team travels to the Eastern time zone for five games over three days at the UNCG Spartan Classic in Greensboro, N.C.
All games will be played at the UNCG Softball Stadium.
The Utes will start the weekend against Drexel on Friday at 1 p.m. PT. Utah will then face the host UNC Greensboro Spartans at 5:30 p.m. ET. Utah will play Rider on Saturday at 11 a.m. ET.
The next two games will be determined by bracket play and game times are to be announced. Utah has won five of its last six games and stands 6-3 overall through the first two weeks of the season.

Utes in the Pac-12 Statistics: The Utes are third in the Pac-12 Conference with 69 batters struck out. The Utah defense is tied for third in the Pac-12 with four double plays turned.
Hard-Hitting Utes: The Utes have a 73-54 advantage in hits so far this season. Utah has outhit its opponents in all six of its victories this season. Conversely, the Utes have been out-hit in each of their three losses.

Infield Notebook: Utah's senior third baseman Whitney Holm (Spanish Fork, Utah) had 10 hits in 15 at-bats for a .667 batting average during five games last weekend at the Louisville Slugger Desert Classic in Las Vegas. Holm drove in 14 runs with three home runs and a double. The Spanish Fork, Utah native posted a .647 on-base percentage as well as a 1.333 slugging percentage. Holm is now in sole possession of fourth place in Utah school history with 34 career round-trippers.
Pitching Notebook: Senior Generra Nielson (Blanding, Utah) started four of Utah's five games last weekend at the Louisville Slugger Desert Classic. She struck out 42 in just 24.0 innings and allowed only six earned runs on 16 hits, while only walking four.
