AUSTIN, Texas - The University of Utah men's golf team finished the Morris Williams Intercollegiate Saturday at the University of Texas Golf Club in 12th place. The team posted a three-round mark of 948 (305-320-323), while sophomore Daniel Engle continued to lead the Utes in individual standings, tying for 59th with a final score of 232 (75-79-78).
Freshman Jack Maerki was next to finish on Utah's roster, earning 64th with a final mark of 236 (76-82-78). Freshman Gentry Hicks tied for 65th, swinging a 240 (81-78-81), while junior Joe Webber placed 70th with a mark of 245 (78-81-86). Sophomore Ben Bankhead posted a score of 246 (76-82-88) to place 71st.
The Utes return to action at the Barona Collegiate Cup in San Diego, Calif., March 22-23.
