Schofield Notes: Received a lot of high-pressure sets at the end of matches as a freshman last season and handled them extremely well ... became a key player for the Utes by the second round of Pac-12 play in 2011 ... has the best `game' of anyone on the Ute roster: she's a great passer, has all of the shots offensively, and sees the game well ... an all-around player who makes any team better ... mentally tough and aggressive.
2011: 2012 Pac-12 All-Freshman Team Honorable Mention honoree ... led team with 2.95 kills per set this season and third on the squad with 2.63 digs per set ... had 16 double-figure-kill performances and 14 double-digit-dig outings ... led or tied for the team lead in kills 10 times and led or tied for team-high honors in digs six times and also led in blocks twice ... turned in a career-high 22 kills on 48 swings with six errors for a .333 hitting percentage in win over Washington State (11/19) ... selected to 2011 Yale Invitational and Utah Invitational All-Tournament Teams ... posted 21 kills at Arizona State (11/12) and established a new career high with 19 digs against Oregon State (9/23) ... had eight double-doubles, including match-high 15 kills and career-high 19 digs against Oregon State (9/23) ... hit 17 kills at Yale (9/3) and registered a .353 hitting percentage versus Colgate (9/2) ... had five 12-dig matches, most recently at No. 16 Oregon (10/28).
High School/Club: Named to PrepVolleyball.com's Top 100 team, one of two from the state of Utah ... was an AVCA/MaxPreps Player of the Week ... MVP of Region 7 in 2009 ... first-team all-state and all-region selection in 2009 (2010 team has not been released yet) ... two-time team captain ... four-year letterwinner ... team was fifth in 2009 and eighth in 2010 at state tournament ... state record-holder for most kills in a match ... averaged 5.33 kills and 3.90 digs per set with a .343 hitting percentage during senior season ... team won the 2009 Region 7 championship ... member of fifth-place team at nationals during freshman year and 18th-place team in Open Division at nationals in 2010 ... class president ... president of Bruin Crew (service organization) ... member of National Honor Society ... Honor Roll student since 2007.
Personal: Major is undeclared ... born Aug. 11, 1993 ... daughter of Cory and Robin Schofield ... great-great uncle is Vern Gardner, who was a second-team All-American basketball player at Utah in 1947 and 1949, and helped the Utes win the NIT Championship in 1947.
