While the Utah men's basketball team prepares for the 2013-14 season, UtahUtes.com will spotlight its new members in a weekly segment, `Getting to Know U.'
Today's spotlight is on junior transfer Delon Wright. Wright was the Coast Conference Player of the Year at City College of San Francisco last season as he led the Rams to the North Division Title with a 27-3 record. He averaged 10 points, eight rebounds and four steals per game while also leading the Rams in blocks, steals and assists. In high school, Wright led Levzinger High School to the California State Championship and was named the CIF Southern Section Div. 1A Player of the Year.

Why did you choose Utah?
I liked the atmosphere on my visit. The history of the program was another thing that drew me in
Who had the biggest influence in your life?
My brother Dorell. He plays in the NBA for the TrailBlazers. He is my biggest role model because he is where I want to be
What is your favorite thing about Utah?
The fresh air
The teammate(s) I admire most are who, and why?
Aqeel Quinn. He now plays at San Diego State. He pushed me because we played at the same spot. He's probably one of the main reasons I am where I am.
What do you like best about Coach Krystkowiak?
His knowledge that he passes on to us about the game. Plus he has a good sense of humor
What are your goals for this year?
I want us to make the NCAA Tournament. Individually, I'd love to make an All Pac-12 team
What do you do on game day?
Take a nap. Listen to Drake

Sociology

Play professionally, and if not that, coach
