Hailee Hansen Named to Academic All-District Team

SALT LAKE CITY-- -
Utah All-America gymnast Hailee Hansenhas been named to the Capital One Academic All-District VIII women's at-large first team. The junior from Bountiful, Utah, is now eligible for the national at-large Academic All-America ballot.
Hansen was up against candidates from 13 different sports in the at-large category. A two-time first-team Academic all-Pac-12 Conference selection, Hansen carries a near perfect 3.958 cumulative GPA in mass communication and earned a 4.0 spring semester. She won second-team All-America honors on the uneven bars at the 2013 NCAA Championships in April.
The first walk-on gymnastics captain in school history, Hansen had just one fall all season and has just two falls in her three years on the team. She has helped Utah qualify into the NCAA Championships all three years.
The Capital One Academic All-America teams are voted on by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
