SQUAW VALLEY, Calif. - Utah skier Chloe Fausa finished seventh in the giant slalom at the U.S. Alpine Championships earlier today.
Fausa was 15th after her first run but threw down the fourth-fastest second run to move up to seventh. She finished ahead of U.S. Olympians Laurenne Ross, Leanne Smith and Julia Ford in the event.
Fausa recently finished third in the giant slalom at the NCAA Championships.
Senior Jaime Dupratt finished 19th in the race while Lauren Samuels was 27th.
Winning the race was Olympic gold medalist Mikaela Shiffrin.
