PARK CITY - The NCAA Skiing Championship slalom races have been postponed until Saturday, March 8, due to course conditions. The men's slalom is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. with the women's race at 10:00 a.m., at Park City Mountain Resort. Second runs begin at 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m., respectively.
"Unfortunately we had to cancel the race because of the snow conditions," Utah alpine head coach Jaka Korencan said. "The rain and the warm temperatures contributed to an unsafe race course. The forecast for tonight cold, so we're hoping to get a freeze so that we have a fair and safe surface tomorrow."
The nordic races will continue to be held at Soldier Hollow on Saturday, starting at 9:00 a.m. with the men's 20K, followed by the women's 15K at 10:30 a.m.
Further updated information will be posted to the Utah Athletics twitter site (@utahathletics).
