The Utah women's athletics program made the cut for the 2013-14 Capital One Cup Top-100, which recognizes the best men's and women's Division I athletics programs in the country. The U. was the only school in the state to make the list--checking in at No. 55--and one of 10 Pac-12 schools recognized.
Utah's points came from the gymnastics and ski teams, which finished seventh and fifth in the nation respectively. The gymnastics team received four points and the ski team (which as a coed team split points with its men's counterpart) received three. Points toward the Capital One Cup are earned and tracked throughout the year based on final standings of NCAA Division I Championships and top-10 finishes in final official coaches' polls.
Other Pac-12 teams cited and their finishes were: UCLA (2), Stanford (3), Oregon (6), USC (18), Cal (24), Washington (28), Arizona State (40), Arizona (35) and Colorado (52).
