The Utah gymnasts kicked off an exciting Labor Day weekend to the cheers of 45,000-plus fans before leaving on a three-day mountain retreat. During a break in Utah's season-opening football game, the 2014 Red Rocks were invited out on the field and introduced as the school's first Pac-12 champion team to the delight of a sold-out Rice-Eccles Stadium.
Two days later, the Utes headed to nearby Park City to participate in a life skills retreat. Included in their activities was an election and seniors Corrie Lothrop, Georgia Dabritz and Tory Wilson were voted team captains for the upcoming season.
Lothrop is in her third season as a team captain, while Dabritz and Wilson are first-time captains. They are among nine letterwinners and six All-Americans returning from last year's Pac-12 and NCAA Regional champion team. Four freshmen have joined the squad, replacing four graduated seniors.

The Pac-12 will release Utah's 2015 schedule sometime in mid-September. The Utes will host five meets, including home meets against three teams who competed with Utah at the 2014 NCAA Championships: UCLA, Stanford and Michigan. Tickets are on sale now.
