With baseball season right around the corner, UtahUtes.com will introduce you to the new players on the team in 'Getting to Know.' Today's spotlight is Patrick Flynn, who is from Los Alamitos, Calif., and played at Servite High School.
What is your favorite baseball memory?
My favorite memory would be being the first team in the last seven years to beat our high school rivals.
What is your favorite sport besides baseball?
Football
What do you like to do when you are not playing baseball?
To relax with friends and family.
Why did you choose Utah? What is the best thing about Utah?
I chose Utah because it is a great school. It has what I want to study and I also have the opportunity to follow my dreams in baseball.
Who has been the biggest influence in your life and why?
My grandparents because they are so strong and determined.

What are your goals for this year?
To get good grades and have a successful baseball season.
What is your major and what do you want to do after you graduate?
I want to study emergency medical services and hopefully become a firefighter after I graduate unless I am still playing baseball.
