SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.- Eleven Utah runners have been selected to the Pac-12 Cross Country All-Academic team, announced today by the conference. All eleven were honorable mention selections.
Earning honors for the Utes was senior Andrea Chavez, junior Makenzie Clark, sophomore Shaylen Crook, sophomore Sarah Feeny, sophomore Dakota Grossman, redshirt senior Susannah Hurst Spencer, sophomore Hannah McInturff, junior Jessica Sams, junior Dana Snell, redshirt senior Kate Stringfellow and sophomore Sadie Wassum.
Chavez, Hurst Spencer and Stringfellow are each three-time all-academic recipients while Clark, McInturff and Snell are two-time honorees.
To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and be either a starter or significant contributor.
Utah recently finished its season with a 26th-place finish at the NCAA Championships after qualifying as a team for the first time in its history.
