Dakota Marsden Appointed Gymnastics Director of Player Development

SALT LAKE CITY -
Dakota Marsden has been named the Utah gymnastics director of player development, co-head coach Tom Farden announced today. Marsden, the son of co-head coach Megan Marsden and former coach Greg Marsden, has spent the last four years as the team manager.
"Dakota's work ethic and the positive energy he brings to the gym did not go unnoticed during his time as our manager. We are thrilled to have him join us our director of player development," said Farden.
Marsden, a 2015 graduate of the U. in sports management and commercial recreation, will assist the gymnasts in several areas, including transitioning into the collegiate environment and serving as a liaison for the student-athletes, campus departments and outside agencies.
He will also track academic progress reports, study table hours and mentor meetings.
In addition to serving as the gymnastics team manager, Marsden was a team manager for the Utah men's basketball team his freshman year in 2010-11.
