Utah Athletics Names Casey Floyd Compliance Coordinator

Former intern at The Summit League, Virginia Tech, CSUN and Washington and Lee.
Floyd comes to the U. after serving as the Compliance and Administration Intern at The Summit League in Elmhurst, Ill., during the 2015-16 academic year where he provided NCAA rule interpretations and managed the National Letter of Intent process among other duties.
Floyd earned his Juris Doctor at Washington and Lee School of Law in May 2015. While in law school, he earned National Association for Athletics Compliance education certification and interned with Executive Associate Athletic Director Desiree Reed-Francois at Virginia Tech from Sept.-Dec. 2014 and Cal State Northridge Assistant AD for Administration Ryan Swartwood from May-July 2014 after serving a compliance internship at Washington & Lee from Sept. 2012 through May 2013.
A native of Santa Clarita, Calif., Floyd graduated cum laude from Cal State Northridge where he earned his B.S. in Business Administration with a major in Business Law and Marketing.
