SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah baseball team continues its 10-game homestand with a three-game series against UCLA, beginning Friday, April 29, at 12:00 p.m. MT.
The series continues on Saturday, April 30, at 12:00 p.m. MT and concludes on Sunday, May 1, at 7:00 p.m. MT.
Fans wearing black on Friday will receive free admission as part of Utah's Black Friday promotion. Saturday is Daddy/Daughter Day and father and daughter pairs will receive free admission.
The Utes are tied for the Pac-12 lead with Washington with a 9-6 record (.600 winning percentage). Utah went 1-2 against No. 14 Oregon State last weekend, dropping the first two games before winning game three 7-6.
Utah is second in the Pac-12 with 36 double plays and eight pickoffs. The Utes are tied for third in the league with 38 stolen bases. Utah is sixth in the league in batting average (.262) and on-base percentage (.358). Pitchers have allowed just 15 home runs, which is fourth fewest in the league.
Jayson Rose leads the league with 74 strikeouts. Dalton Carroll is one of five pitchers in the Pac-12 who has not allowed a home run this year (min. one inning/gm). DaShawn Keirsey, Jr., is tied for third with nine stolen bases.
UCLA is 19-19 overall and 9-9 in the Pac-12. The Bruins are coming off a 10-7 loss at Cal State Fullerton on Tuesday and swept Oregon over the weekend.
