Utah Golf Closes Out Regular Season at PING Cougar Classic

PROVO, Utah - The Utah men's golf team wraps up the 2016 regular season at the PING Cougar Classic next Monday and Tuesday, April 11-12. The two-day, 54-hole tournament will be hosted by Brigham Young University and played at the Riverside Country Club in Provo, Utah.
Utah golfers will complete 36 holes on Monday, followed by the final 18 holes on Tuesday. Golfers will tee off beginning at 8:30 a.m. MT on the No. 1 and No. 10 tees.
Utah will compete in a field of 10 teams, including tournament host, BYU, along with Colorado State, Dixie State, Pacific, Southern Utah, Utah State, Washington State, Westminster, and Wyoming.
The Utes are coming off a 15th-place finish at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic in Chandler, Ariz. Utah finished the 54-hole event with a score of 15-over par (286-291-302=879) at the Whirlwind Golf Club. Senior Jonathon Thomas finished in a tie for 45th-place after carding a two-day score of 4-over par (68-75-77=220) to lead all Ute golfers.
