Utah Completes Day Two at San Diego State Classic

SAN DIEGO – Utah women's tennis put up a strong showing during day two at the San Diego State Fall Classic.
 
In the red doubles draw, senior Victoria Robertson and freshman Jasmine Rich defeated Ronaldson and Wajcik of Colorado, 6-4. They will play Garcia and Nonnemarcher of San Diego in the championship tomorrow at 9 a.m.
 
Brianna Turley and Margo Pletcher also came out victorious today in the black doubles.  They took on Fumaglali and Barnickel of Air Force and came out on top, 6-2. Tomorrow, they play Buth and Diez of San Diego State in the championship round.  
 
In the consolation round for the red singles, Alexia Petrovic defeated Maria Medina of Liberty, 6-1, 6-0. She will play Katerina Stoukalova tomorrow at 10 a.m.
 
Whitney Turley will also play in the singles consolation championship round tomorrow against Sarah Rahman of Columbus.
 
Robertson came out on top against Kyrya Wocik of Colorado, 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 in the gold singles draw. She will play Renne Ren of Columbus in the consolation round.
