SAN DIEGO - Utah women's tennis concluded fall play today at the San Diego Fall Classic with a huge win in doubles play.
In the black doubles championship, Brianna Turley and Margo Pletcher came out on top against Buth and Diaz of San Diego State, 6-1.
Brianna Turley would later win the consolation round in the white singles draw. She took the win in two sets against Meredith Laskey of Air Force, 6-2, 6-1.
Alexia Petrovic and Jena Cheng also defeated Hatcliff and Laskey of Air Force, 6-3 in the consolation round for the red doubles play.
Petrovic also came out victorious in a three-set battle, 4-6, 6-3, 15-13 against Katerina Stioukalova in the red singles consolation final.
Also in singles play was Whitney Turley who defeated Lara Soares of Liberty, 1-6, 6-4, 10-5 in the green singles consolation final.
The Utes look to begin the spring season on January 13-14 as they travel Honolulu, HI. to take on Florida State and Hawaii.
