STANFORD, Calif. – Sophomore Caitlin Faust placed third in her heat and 30^th overall in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:11.22, to close out the Stanford Invitational on Saturday at Cobb Track in Stanford, Calif.
 
"Caitie was in a rough race early with pushing and position changes. She battled through it to 2:11 for the third time this year. That type of consistency is usually what precedes a big breakthrough, so hopefully it is right around the corner. Overall, this was a productive weekend. We are looking forward to being home next weekend," head coach Kyle Kepler said.
 
The Utah track and field team will be back in action next weekend when they co-host the Utah/Weber State Spring Classic. Utah will host the first day of competition on Friday, April 7, at the McCarthey Family Track and Field in Salt Lake City.
