SALT LAKE CITY – University of Utah women's tennis will kick off their spring season against Florida State University in Honolulu, Hawaii, on January 12th. The match against the Seminoles is set to begin on Friday at 11 a.m. MST.

The Utes look to continue their success from their fall competitions. Sophomore Leah Heimuli and Sophomore Whitney Turley were selected to compete in the main doubles draw at the ITA All-American Championship last October. Margo Pletcher and Brianna Turley also represented the Utes in singles competition at the ITA All-American Championships.

The Utes picked up wins throughout the fall at the Wildcat Invitational and ITA Regionals in October. The Utes concluded fall play at the San Diego Fall Classic in September, putting up a strong showing against the competition.

Utah continues competition throughout February, including home matches against Utah State on Feb. 15th, along with a double header on Feb 17th against Denver and Weber State. A match against Boise State will follow on Feb. 18th before traveling to the Blue Gray National Tennis Classic in Montgomery, Ala. They will begin Pac-12 Conference play in Salt Lake City on March 9th and 11th with Arizona State and Arizona coming to town.
