HONOLULU, HI – University of Utah women's tennis took a tough loss in their first match pf the season against Florida State.
 
In doubles, Jena Cheng and Alexia Petrovic were able to defeat Gabriella Castaneda and Ariana Rahmanparast with a final score of 6-4.
 
In singles action, Alexia Petrovic fell to Gabriella Castaneda in a competitive match that ended with a final score of 2-6, 6-3, 3-10. Jena Cheng also barely fell short to Ariana Rahmanparast, with a final score of 6-4, 6-7, 6-10.
 
The Utes will be back in action tomorrow to participate in the University of Hawaii's Rainbow Wahine Invitational Tournament. This tournament will be on both Saturday and Sunday, with a 11:00 a.m. start on Saturday, and a 10:30 a.m. start on Sunday.
